The community of South Gate consists of 140 homes which enjoy an outstanding location in central Sarasota. Whether planning a day at the world famous Siesta Key beach, Westgate Shopping mall, Mote Aquarium, or literally hundreds of other Sarasota attractions, Southgate will most likely be in very close proximity. Itโs a fantastic location.
South Gate amenities include a community swimming pool, and an Association hall on a five-acre site on Phillippi Creek at South Gate Circle. The community offers great schools including Southside Elementary, Brookside Middle and Sarasota High School. Membership in the South Gate Community Assn is optional. Residents will be sure to enjoy the 5 acre grounds studded with slumbering oaks on the banks of Phillippi Creek. As of 2019, social membership is currently just $75 per year and pool membership is an additional $150 per year. Its a truly awesome location convenient to shopping, schools, restaurants, and the Sarasota Memorial Medical complex. Of course, it’s just a short drive to Award winning Siesta Beach, the bay front and the thriving Downtown Sarasota area.
