Siesta Beach is unique compared to many other pulverized coral sand beaches in Florida. The sand on Siesta Beach is 99% quartz and originated from rocks from the Appalachian Mountains. Over millions of years pure quartz sand remained. This white powdery sand feels cool underfoot no matter how hot the temperature. Owners and visitors delight in sunbathing on the beach, jumping through the waves and watching the tropical birds and dolphins and they play in the warm clear water of the Gulf of Mexico.
Residents of the Siesta beaches are able to enjoy Siesta Village, a great place to meet family and friends for casual dining or a night of music and fun. There is a nice beach vibe here, with various stores offering beachy items for sale, knick-knacks and souvenirs. On a warm day, that are plenty of snack shops for picking up a cool drink or getting a scoop of delicious ice cream.
