The Palm Aire Country Club offers three courses to play, the Oaks, the Cypress and the Palms. Founded in 1959, the club has a history of entertaining celebrities; Frank Sinatra, Jerry Lewis and Elizabeth Taylor stayed at the club when it boasted a hotel and spa. Currently the club has two golf shops, a professional golf academy and two driving ranges. A variety of social memberships are available at the club, and daily fees can be paid for a round or two.
The Conservatory Park is also nearby, which has a pier, and two pavilions, ideal for family reunions or get-togethers. The 55-acre site also includes a beautiful trail that meanders around a lake. The condos are a short drive from University Parkway, with box stores, restaurants and shopping to peruse. The Palm Aire Plaza Shopping Center is less than five minutes away, and is ideal for getting those last-minute items for your meal or a day at the beach. A day at the beach is easily accessible from the Hollows Condos, as Lido Key is less than a half an hour away, with Longboat Key and Siesta Key just a bit farther than that.
