Fourteen miles of sidewalks and bike trails, plus a 1.7-mile fitness trail, wind through the community, and no CDD applies here.
Worth noting before you buy: The Meadows Country Club filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in July 2025, and the golf courses and many club facilities closed as a result. The Meadows Community Association now owns the land and is negotiating with an outside operator, so confirm current club status before assuming golf or full amenities are active. Benderson Park, shopping, dining, and I-75 all sit close by, and downtown Sarasota’s bayfront and arts scene are about 15 minutes out.

The Meadows was originally built in the mid 1970’s to mid 1980’s, however there are some newer home enclaves within the community as well. The community is a fine mix of single family homes, maintenance-free villas, and condominiums. The Meadows is a great location convenient to a brand new shopping mall being built on University parkway, plus its only about 15 minutes to downtown Sarasota, and the world class beaches, cultural activities, and fine downtown dining Sarasota has to offer.
Membership to the Meadows Country club is not mandatory, however membership definitely has it’s privileges with the wide variety of amenities offered to members.
Types Of The Meadows Memberships
- Golf Family Membership – This membership offers unlimited golf on three courses (54 holes total). Also, Golf members can enjoy all the tennis facilities, along with the junior Olympic pool, 5,000 square foot fitness center, 3 dining restaurants, and all the club member social activities.
- Tennis Family Membership – Recognized as one of the top 20 tennis facilities in the country by Tennis Magazine, the Meadows offers beginner and advanced programs at The Meadows Country Club. There are 17 well-maintained Har-Tru courts, along with a stadium court for special matches. Members can easily find first-class instruction, clinics, competitions, and more.
- Social & Pool Family Membership – Members in this category enjoy pool access, three dining restaurants, and the social activities exclusive to club members.
