Depending on the placement of the home, privacy can be effected if the home faces a tee box or green. Noise levels during the day may be higher as well if the home is in close proximity to the tee boxes or greens. HOA fees may be higher in golf course communities.
A public golf course is open for play to anyone. The golfer will pay a fee to play a round of golf, and there is no membership requirement. A private golf course is a golf course which requires a membership fee. Many times, members may invite guests to play with them at an additional fee. Private courses typically have many more amenities such as club houses, restaurants, bars, driving ranges, large pools, and more. A semi-private course is a hybrid between public courses and private courses where the course may be open to the public, however they also offer memberships which comes with an exclusive set of perks for members.
A bundled golf community means that the HOA or condo association includes golf fees as part of the HOA or condo dues. Membership to the golf club is required to live in that particular community.
